About Alfred Onziga
Alfred Onziga is a U.S. Department of State Fellow, a trained teacher, an ESL tutor, and a content creator with passion in adult education and technology. While in the United States, he was privileged to have been placed at the Literacy Action in Atlanta Georgia where he completed four months practicum of the Community Solutions Program which is a Cultural Exchange Program sponsored by the United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and implemented by the International Research and Exchanges Board. Literacy Action is an organization that is awesome, transparent, and willing to let others learn, and this exposed him to learning a lot from them. It is from here that he learnt how to start non-profits, as Literacy Action sponsored him to study at GNC. This sparked him to establish HILLSFRED UGANDA LIMITED as a small community-based organization to provide literacy services to the refugee population and their host communities in the Kiryandongo refugee settlement.
