How we started
Hilsfred Uganda Limited was founded by Alfred Onziga in October 1, 2023 after his return from Atlanta, Georgia in the United States following his involvement in the Community Solutions Program. It was established with the goal of skilling the local community and refugees in Kiryandongo district through our learning programs of English as a Second Language, Digital Literacy, Community Leadership, Financial Literacy & Village Saving and Loan Associations (VLSA), Home Garden Skilling, and Sustainable farming. All these learning programs are done online and in person to ensure flexibility. We hope to equip our refugee student with language skills, digital skills, leadership skills, financial literacy, and sustainable farming skills such that they become self-reliant in their country of asylum.
Where we work
Our main office is located in cluster "D" of Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement with a branch in Bweyale Town Council, Kiryandongo District. Most of our field activities are implemented in clusters within the kiryandongo refugee settlement and sub-counties around the settlement.

We support refugees and host community members who are adults within the age range of 18 and above and interested to learn in our programs.
